First look at Bolzano
Sunday was overcast, but the town was full of activity. Apparently a combination of a bicycle race and festivals. There were bands, balloons, outdoor cinemas, and many folk in traditional dress of Austria and Germany (very near neighbours).
The town is thoroughly charming and surrounded by mountains, which I find mesmerizing. Despite the dozens of photos I took, I didn't manage to capture the sheer size of the surrounding mountains.
While I am not putting my life in danger by looking the wrong ways for cars, I am forgetting to look at for bicycles at all in laneways, or tripping over things on the ground as I gaze at mountains. :)
I loved these water jugs! But Gemma has ruined them for me by pointing out the water comes from the bottom.

I love all these pics. Gemma must have secret knowledge to figure out the peculiar aspects of the water jugs.
