Poros, Ermioni and the floating bar is born
So already I'm behind in recording the trip, so Monday and Tuesday events are sort of merging. Our routine is breakfast, pack up, secure everything and set sail. Drinks have been known to commence around 11.30am. Or breakfast ... Jason's Bloody Marys are extremely popular, with beer, wine and Mimosas rounding out the menu. Konstantina pilots us to some amazing cove where we swim and lunch. Then perhaps more sailing, another destination for a look around and/or dinner, or return to the boat for another great meal from Joan.
Monday we had dinner on Poros. The marina was a hive of activity, with some boats being moored four deep. I envisaged this could be a bit of a problem for an inside boat wanting to make an early start in the morning, but hadn't realised it would also mean the outer boaties walking across everyone's boats for access. A bit chaotic for us, and we were very happy to have Konstantina come to pick us up again at 10pm and return to the relevant isolation of our location.

Tuesday's afternoon dip saw the creation of the floating bar. Joan revealed a special talent for balancing a cup on her head and later had the brilliant idea to use the water ring as a bar. Jason also kindly offered to be a body bar, balancing glasses on his torso.
We dined on Ermioni with Konstantina joining us. A very picturesque waterfront. A blood moon over the harbour was stunning, but not easy to photograph with the lens I had. Jason was so very, very close to being man overboard transferring from tender to our boat at the end of the evening.

Some wonderful pics - and sights. Hope the little shop had some nice goodies to buy.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks marvellous. I was waiting for a similar story to the parking in Greece post about getting the 4 deep boats out. Who are those other people in your photo? Did you make some friends?
